What is Superfast Broadband?
Superfast Broadband is also known as Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) broadband, it delivers up to 76 Mbps downstream and up to 19 Mbps upstream.
Using optic broadband cables, Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) connects to your home or business from the nearest green street cabinet to provide your home or business with fibre optic broadband, the last part, from the green street cabinet utilises copper to deliver to your home or business, as a result, it gives you increased speeds as the distance the data travels over copper wires is reduced.
It means there’s much more bandwidth, allowing you to upload and download much bigger files. Its also more stable.
